Shakespearian Saturday

On Saturday we had a lovely family day out, starting with feeding the ducks. We bumped into a newly married couple, and gave them a little of the corn so that they could have a somewhat different wedding photo.

With some trepidation, we headed to Christchurch Quay, where SISATA were doing a free, open air performance of Twelfth Night, as we were very disappointed with the performance we saw in Bournemouth. This show was fabulous though, 4 actors playing all the parts, and a really accessible, interactive performance. They were very sweet to Grace too, who told them that she "liked it, but didn't really understand it"!

Jude captivated by the show

Malvolio, yellow stockinged and cross-gartered

We finished up at the wonderful water park at the Quay, where both Grace and Jude made new friends.

We completed Grace's latest chapter book at bedtime - Pippi Goes Abroad (the second in the Pippi Longstocking series) was another huge hit.

  1. I'm glad you got to see 12th night- I thought this production was fun- it was also AUDIBLE which is more than can be said for the one we started watching at the pier! I agree with Grace that I did not entirely understand it but enjoyed it anyway!
